Every time you send something out, you can get results, as long as you don’t fall victim to the common list mistakes too many people seem to make (even the gurus):
Crap content.
This can ONLY result in people unsubscribing - NOT what you want!
Sending out TOO often / or not often enough.
Set up a schedule of WHEN you are going to send your newsletter – say every second Tuesday morning – and DO IT. On your …

Several of my sites have 50,000+ visits a month, and DON’T have a list. One even has close to 100k visits every month!
Imagine if I could “convert” a teeny percentage of those interested visitors each month - perhaps only 1% - I’d have 500 people added to my list each month.
In twelve months that could grow to be a list of 6,000 people who are “more than slightly interested” in what you had to offer.
Provided …

Certainly NOT using your email client on your own computer!
Did you know that many ISP’s (and even web hosting providers) severely LIMIT the number of emails you can send each hour? Why? Well it’s all to do with stopping spammers!
Some web hosts will only allow you to send 50 or 100 emails an hour, so a big list will take forever to email, so you really don’t want to look after your own hosted list …

Most of the tactics discussed so far are all to do with attracting NEW traffic/visitors to your site!
Perhaps the reason I haven’t been able to get my traffic passed its current plateau level, is because I haven’t been able to address my PREVIOUS visitors effectively.
Seriously, if people have already come to your site, and have shown enough interest to hang around and investigate what you have to offer, they CAN be enticed to come back!
But …

I’m not really into the Pay Per Click (or PPC) methods of generating traffic, the king of which would be Google’s Adwords program, and then Yahoo’s Search Marketing program.
You know these ads – they appear either on top, or alongside the organic search results on the major search engines.
I don’t want to spend a lot of time here because I do NOT have enough experience to share anything that might be useful on the topic… …

If you can’t (or don’t want to) write your own material, or can’t afford to hire someone to do it for you, then consider using PLR (Private Label Rights) material. There are truckloads of this stuff available, often at extremely low cost or even free!
You can pick up literally thousands of PLR articles covering all sorts of topics… just waiting for you to plug into your web site or newsletter, or to compile into “reports” …

I’m a firm believer in growing a site by regularly adding fresh, relevant content to it. But where can you get this stuff?
Well… you ARE supposed to be an expert in your industry - aren’t you? So for now, just start writing about different aspects of your business.
Publish these articles on your web site, and submit them to the major article directories so OTHER people can pick them up to use on their sites, with …

The most recent post suggested that you should make sure all your “back-door” pages have an obvious call to action.
This might be a good place to ask you what strategy do you have in place so that EACH and EVERY page on your site can make money?
In fact, you should aim to have at least THREE monetisation methods on each page!
For example, you should include some (or all) of:blocks of Adsense advertisements
links to highly recommended …

If 80%+ of traffic arrives at your site from major search engines, then a sound approach to increasing traffic is to keep building new and relevant content on your web site.
Add extra pages. Update the old ones. Create a blog. Add your own RSS feeds. Use other people’s feeds. Add lots of content that offers even more value to your visitors!
Give your visitors what they want, and you will be rewarded (eventually).
All this great, …
