Have You Been Hard At It Too?

posted in EBooks, Launches, Strategies |

That’s the trouble with blogs - they show DATES of posts… and when you’ve neglected to post (for whatever the reason) it can make you look slack! And that’s not good for the reputation I’m trying to establish.

So for recently neglecting your blogging needs by not posting anything new… please forgive me. I am sorry. But there IS a VERY good reason for it.

You see I’ve been working so @$%# hard on my first official “info” product (see end of this post for vague details about it).

It’s something I’ve been agonizing over for some time, trying to work out exactly what I want to do to make it really special, so I can get really passionate about the topic.

And I have recently (yes… FINALLY) made a decision on what to write about.

As you are very much aware, when you go searching for something on the Internet, you’ll find lots of little bits and pieces of relevant information scattered all over the place.

But the big problem is trying to put it all together so it makes sense.

And I think that is one of the BIG reasons why most people fail at their attempt to set up business on the ‘net… Cos they aren’t able to see the “big” (or complete) picture, they blindly set off doing their thing without finishing all the planning needed.

Now most of the time (but not in matters of the heart LOL) I’m a very logical thinker, so I need to see the complete path, sequence, structure of something - from start to finish - before I can begin the journey.

I probably over-analyze too much as well, which delays my taking action, but when I get started on a project… there’s no holding back.

That’s why that passion is essential (to me anyway). If I’m interested in something, I can put MORE of me into it.

And I’m amazed at some IM people who recommend you just chase the “hot” niches - even if you are NOT all that interested in, and most likely not all that knowledgeable about them.

I wonder what type of product they are producing for that “hot” market???

Are they are able to produce something of real value, or if they are only adding to information “pollution”?

Sorry but if I am going to take the time to develop a product to put my name to - and isn’t that the holy grail for IM - you just gotta have your “own” product - then I want to make sure that I over-deliver in what I do.

OK - some might say that might be regarded as “perfectionism” and too much worry about the detail can cost you lost income and you should just “get it up there”… but again I ask “What type of reputation are you creating?”

Anyway - enough of a rave about that. Sorry, but too many people lately are telling you to do the wrong thing… and when you are trying to fight the odds to build a long term business on the Internet, that’s not the way to go about things.

Sheesh - I just got yet another email as I write this, promoting a “step-by-step system to squeeze money from any niche fast” and “Imagine creating LIFTETIME (sic) income for minimal work”.

Isn’t it time to get real with this sort of crap? Especially when one of the steps they neglected to include was writing a sales letter to sell to that “any” niche. I suppose that’s the “minimal” work part - sell it without a sales letter!!!

If you are interested in what I’m working on… I can only drop a little hint or two right now…

What I’m working on is pretty huge… It combines:

  • instant pdf download of ebook,
  • auto-responder backup/reminder of each chapter/stage,
  • lifetime access to membership area where you can read each part online,
  • along with viewing the extra support material provided, and
  • download all the freebies and other material that comes with it, and maybe even
  • mp3 downloads of the material so you can listen and learn on your I-pod.
While the sales letter’s only just been written, I’ve still got that back-end to set up, so I’m a few weeks away from launch yet.

Come on Stephen… What’s the topic? Give it up!

Well… if you’re tired of struggling to find answers to all of those questions you have about setting up an online business, then I guarantee you’re going to get very excited about this!

Especially the price! And no… it’s NOT another $500+ product! Around $50 I hope.

Stay tuned :)
