Adsense Started The Advertising Revolution… And Now? WOW!
Back in mid 2003, July to be precise, I added a little piece of Javascript code to a couple of my web pages… and they started earning me MONEY - immediately! So I hurriedly added that code to a LOT more web pages, and I earned even MORE!
Today my web sites serve around 250,000+ ads a month because of that piece of code, and it’s responsible for a significant portion of my online income. That’s not a lot of ads in the grand scheme of things… I’m still a relatively small player in the field, preferring not to pollute the ‘net with 100’s of thousands of junk pages…
Of course, I am talking about Google’s Adsense program, and I am very pleased that I was involved in it almost from the start! My only complaint is that I didn’t get it onto all my web sites faster than I did!
Adsense revolutionised my earning potential from the ‘net and in July 2003, it couldn’t have come at a better time for me financially! To be able to earn money from my web site… yeeha!
While I have NO intention to replace that income stream… I am always on the lookout for others.
And, as you know, you only get paid with Adsense when someone clicks on one of the links… with the downside that you drive people AWAY from your site.
But how would you like it if you got paid for people just visiting your site? That’s it - simple as that - nothing to click, they don’t leave, you keep ‘em there to look at more pages, and you get paid again when they look at more of YOUR PAGES!
