The more I look into video, the more excited I get at the possibilities, and I’ve got two examples to talk about today.
The first was my participation (as a viewer) in the “Internet Marketing After Party” that was run by Rick Butts, well known Internet Marketer and Motivational Speaker. He was using a live video feed through a remarkable FREE service call ustreamTV…
It were amazing!!! Over 2.5 hours of pure entertainment chock full …

Just a few days ago (April 15) Alexa made an announcement that their “new” ranking system was now available.
If you don’t already know, for years Alexa has had a toolbar that users can download onto their web browser. As these users surfed the web, the toolbar sent data back to Alexa to help determine the “popularity” of web sites across the globe.
The big problem with the Alexa measure of popularity is that it …

It seems I have obtained the ultimate in legendary status on the web! I was amazed when a recent Google alert told me that I was now known as “god”.
Failing that… maybe the person who claims to be “god” was actually ripping off my copyright?
Either way, I had to find out!
And sure enough… there it was, in living colour!

You see, I’ve got a Google alert set up …

Oh I wouldn’t want a business on eBay for quids! The changes are coming so think and fast it’s almost impossible to keep up.
After last month’s digital delivery fiasco, it seems that now eBay Australia wants to get into the action by announcing they will ONLY accept CASH or PAYPAL after June 17, 2008.
So with direct deposits, money orders and personal cheques no longer viable payment options from June 17 on, it seems eBay will …

While I’m wrapped with using WordPress as a publishing platform, I DO want to take things a step or two further, and right now, I want to include a membership section on a web site. That means HIDING my WordPress pages and posts from the public, and showing them only to paying “members”.
You’d think that would be a very simple thing to do with WordPress - just grab another plugin, and voila! Instant membership section.
Not …

Have you developed a workable comment policy for your blog-based web site? While it doesn’t need to be published for all to see, it does help if you have a set of guidelines you can follow to help decide which comments to publish, and which Akismet comments to de-spam.
For starters, all comments to your blog should be approved before publication. That means as soon as someone makes a comment, they’ll see the “Your comment is …

It’s quite amazing what some people think they can get away with when they market to their subscribers! I wonder what email marketing is coming to???
This is what I got a couple of days ago from someone who should know better!
Subject: this is a rant, and it’s about you stephen … yeah, you.
Hello again Stephen,
That’s right, this email is a rant … and it’s about you.
My part in this relationship is simple … I …

In a move which shocked thousands of eBay digital goods store owners, eBay has banned goods with digital delivery methods - ebooks, music, software, web templates, domain name sales, design services, web hosting, craft epatterns etc - from being shown in their auction marketplace.
Instead, if you want to list such products, you have to now use their Classified Ads service.
Brian Burke, eBay’s Director Global Feedback Policy, cited “feedback manipulation” as the reason for this …

The more comments I read in blog posts, forums and on various survey results, the more I notice the same stuff being said by lots of people… and basically these comments all revolve around the same issue.
Despite the plethora of information available on the Internet, people new to marketing online still cannot find the relevant information they need to move past “Go” with any confidence of success.
Sure… there’s lots of “information” but the vast majority …
