Guerrilla Vs Mavin - The Battle Begins
Two current Internet Marketing promotions are poised to split the IM community… or at the very least, give it a lot to talk about! On one hand, you’ve got the crowd who say that the best way to succeed online is to freely give first, and grow on your reputation. On the other hand, the train of thought is to monetize absolutely everything you do, including your marketing.
Both promotions are part of a launch for fairly expensive products… but, forgetting that for a second… they are well worth having a closer look at if not for the ideas expressed and the mental stimulation you’ll get!
In the red corner…
I’ve just finished reading Rich Schefren’s new 10+MB Special Report he wrote with marketing maestro Jay Abraham titled “The Maven Matrix” and I’ve gotta say, I can’t believe he’s giving this stuff away. Well… I can actually, as the last 16 pages of the 83 page report is a huge sell on a new, expensive product that’s about to come out…
But hey… you don’t have to buy the product! The content of the Maven Matrix is more than enough to get your brain ticking over… working out how you can get to the top rung of the ladder in your niche!
And in the blue corner…
You’ll find the “Guerrilla Balance Sheet” which focuses on how to turn your marketing expenses into a profit center!
This 61 page report is a prime example of exactly how to do that, because it’s not free. It’s available for a very nominal $7 and also offers a two tier affiliate program to promote it.
I found it a little hard going at the start… some of the concepts I couldn’t get my head around initially (maybe because it was getting rather late at night) but once I got warmed up… I think I could see where they are coming from… which is basically, you DON’T give stuff away for free!
OK… there’s a LOT more to it than that, so you best go have a look for yourself. And if you don’t like what you see, you should always ask for a refund!
My verdict?
Both marketing “systems” have their merits… I suppose it all boils down to your personal philosophy on how YOU want to do business on the net. And if I were to favour one over the other… I’d have to say I was more of a “matrix” fan
