Hey Dirk

If it is a new trend... it's one we can well do without! We don't really need that sort of stuff polluting our inboxes.

Heaven knows... there's enough junk there already!

Cheers

I get the idea of stirring a bit of controversy, but this is just daft. What sort of response was the guy trying to get ? Although on the other side the fact that we're commenting on his single email creation makes it a "successful" piece of writing? If you had included a link to this guys site, people would click it for sure out of pure curiosity, whether they would buy his product or subscribe to his newsletter is a different question.

Hey Milt

Glad to have you here. And it certainly is daft! Which is why you should NEVER SEND anything while you are angry!!! Sure, write it, but don't hit that SEND or POST button until you've had a chance to calm down.

I think it's a classic case of what NOT to do to build relationships.

Obviously his list wasn't responding to the PLF promotion he was part of... so he was getting the sh*ts because he wasn't gonna make as much money as he thought he might.

So he spat the dummy...

Why weren't they responding? Let's see...

A. they already got heaps of other emails about it and already had a look (as I did)
B. they don't read his emails because they contain nothing but "open your wallet" stuff
C. he was too late jumping on the launch bandwagon, as he suggested when he said "I actually watch the things, before I fire you off an email"
or
D. all of the above...

And I didn't name names because I didn't think it appropriate :) There's another couple of IM flame wars going on right this moment that are getting very nasty, and the people involved should really know better.

Cheers

Glad to be here,
Great site, top content.
I have recently started up my own newsletter and to be honest, I really struggle to create content. I have the intention to try and "keep it real". I'm trying to not go down the road of using copy and pasted affiliate letters or PLR.
Where would I find an example of a good newsletter?
