I was surprised when I went to the blog just now to see some of the feedback these guys had already received... about how "wonderful" it all was...

Have we lowered our expectations so far? That's really sad.

Update... some 12 hours later... the blog has a new skin and certainly looks a lot more professional, and more in line with what I would have expected from people of this calibre! (I think my yet to be published - and unlikely to be - blog comment may have had some effect)

Apparently miscommunication was to blame - i.e. the "blog guy" didn't get told to update in time for the launch.

However I still remain slightly disappointed... you know what they say about "first impressions"... well that's amplified when the promises made result in high expectations which aren't initially met.

Lesson to be learnt?

Check and test everything :)

I totally agree with everything above. I don't class myself as an 'expert' or anything but even I know that registering a domain etc comes AFTER your market research, or is that taken as having been done. If this is for newbies, it is misleading. And as the previous writer stated, where is the information about list building??
