SEO Blogger – Does It Work?
I recently found what I thought was going to be a GREAT little plugin for my Firefox web browser… Fresh from Wordtracker Labs, is a Firefox add on called SEO Blogger.
So while you are editing a post, it allows you open up a window alongside your blog’s editing screen, to find relevant/popular keywords for that post.
The idea is that you can use it to create better, keyword rich articles and count how many times you use each phrase.
According to Wordtracker…
Whether you blog about business, politics or the hot topic of the moment, SEO Blogger allows you to find the most sought-after keywords for your subject without ever leaving your blog editing screen. The tool sits alongside whatever blog publishing software you’re using so you can do keyword research and optimize your posts as you write. Then, simply hit “Publish” – and you’re done.
Seems like a good idea… and I was wondering whether it works with ANY web page – i.e. can I open up the keyword research window at any time – not just with my WordPress edit screen?
The answer is “yes”… BUT…
There are a few quirks with it, and I’m not sure whether it’s because I use the Mac version of Firefox (v2) or otherwise, so I’d appreciate hearing your comments on how SEO Blogger is working for you…
I’ve discovered that it does NOT want to work for me… while the window opens and I can type on my keywords, the search results reveal nothing!
I’ve also found some very annoying behaviours…
Whenever I hit the ENTER key, the blasted thing pops up – so I’m typing a URL in the address bar and hit enter to open that URL, SEO Blogger opens!
Same thing with the arrow keys – touch any of them, and BANG! There it goes again! So there goes my preferred scrolling option for viewing a long web page…
Does SEO Blogger work for you? Please let me know.
