At times it’s really interesting what you see when you provide services to help people promote their online presence… I’ve been doing it for years by allowing people to freely submit their business listings to my longstanding directory websites.
And I do it because these user submissions generate new content for me on a regular (daily) basis… which means Google visits often… and I end up with literally thousands of pages driving search engine traffic …

It seems I have obtained the ultimate in legendary status on the web! I was amazed when a recent Google alert told me that I was now known as “god”.
Failing that… maybe the person who claims to be “god” was actually ripping off my copyright?
Either way, I had to find out!
And sure enough… there it was, in living colour!

My Christmas present to myself was a Squidoo lens (or two). What on earth is that? Well… it’s a free page which focuses on the keyword of your choice, and allows you to build backlinks to your sites and generate some extra targeted traffic! OK… I’m a little slow in discovering this, as I don’t normally use a PC, let alone IE7 as my default web browser… but check out how amazingly well boring old RSS feeds can be displayed in IE7 nowadays! They’ve really brought this well into to the realm of the average Joe, and that should make a huge difference to you if you use and promote RSS feeds from your own sites.
